Trust & Privacy

Harbor Commons is privacy-centric. Not secrecy-centric.

What we do

We display IRS Form 990 data that is already part of the public record by law. We structure it, normalize it, and make it legible. We don't add to it, editorialize it, or fabricate beyond it. If it's not in the filing, it's not on the page.

What we don't do

 • –No login, paywall, or email required.
 • –No advertising.
 • –No data sales or licensing.
 • –No lead capture of any kind.
 • –No cross-site tracking.
 • –No claims about individuals beyond what the IRS filing contains.

We try not to make you click “Accept” just to read public information. We avoid cookie banners by using minimal, cookieless analytics — not ad tracking.

Analytics

Harbor Commons uses Vercel Analytics, which is deliberately cookieless and privacy-preserving. We use it to understand which pages are useful and where the site is confusing — nothing more.

No personal identifiers. No cross-site tracking. No data sharing or selling. The dashboard is internal improvement only: we want to know which signals and comparisons actually help treasurers and commodores so we can make the tool better.
